My computer has a webcam but it's not taking portrait photos, how can I fix it?

Answer. Click "Allow" when asked to use the webcam.

Note: Internet Explorer doesn't support taking portrait photos in Zipier. Try Chrome or Firefox.

When you click "Update photo" the photo booth will open. If this is your first time, you'll be asked allow Zipier to use your webcam:

  • Chrome: Click "Allow".
  • Firefox: Click the drop down triangle and choose "Always Share".

If it still doesn't work, check that your webcam isn't blocking Zipier:

  • Chrome: Menu > Settings > Show advanced settings > Privacy > Content settings > Media > Manage exceptions: Check that it's set to "Allow" for www.zipier.com.
  • Firefox: Go to the address about:permissions > Look for www.zipier.com on the left > Use the camera > Set to "Allow".
